The Congress is the highest-decision making body of the IDWF. Every five years, delegates from our global membership come together to elect new leadership, propose and vote on new resolutions and policies, and continue setting the agenda for the domestic workers’ movement to achieve decent work, dignity and equality for all.
Our 4th International Congress from 2-5 October 2023 will take place in De Haan, Belgium. The congress theme is “Global Solidarity: Domestic Workers Build Bridges, Close Gaps, Gain Rights”
In preparation for the Congress, our members had 5 pre-congress conferences for 7 regions during which they discussed the way forward for our movement and nominated candidates to represent their regions.
