About

The Congress is the highest-decision making body of the IDWF. Every five years, delegates from our global membership come together to elect new leadership, propose and vote on new resolutions and policies, and continue setting the agenda for the domestic workers’ movement to achieve decent work, dignity and equality for all.

Our 4th International Congress from 2-5 October 2023 took place in De Haan, Belgium. The congress theme is “Global Solidarity: Domestic Workers Build Bridges, Close Gaps, Gain Rights”

IDWF Resolution adopted in IDWF 2nd Congress

Resolutions adopted by the 2nd IDWF Congress 2018, Cape Town, South Africa. The second Congress in Cape Town, South Africa gave us inspiration and renewed energy to fight for our dignity, rights and freedom. Eighteen resolutions were adopted with the goals and the concrete guides for IDWF program of action in the next 5 years.
