Position Summary:
The Project Support Assistant will provide critical support to the Project Support Officer and Project Manager and ensure smooth project operations during the maternity cover period. It is a maternity leave cover from 25th August 2025 until 31 May 2026, around nine months.Â
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Verification of Work Plans and Budgets: Ensure the accuracy of the affiliates’ work plans and budgets.
- Project Agreement Support: Assist in drafting and revising the Project Agreement, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Project Tracker Updates: Regularly update the project tracker to reflect the current status of activities and deliverables.
- File Management: Organize and maintain project-related files and documentation for easy access and reference.
- Additional Support: Provide administrative assistance as needed, including scheduling meetings and preparing materials.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to the mission and values of IDWF, with a passion for supporting the rights and advocacy of domestic workers globally.
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Business Administration, International Development) is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in project support or administrative roles, preferably within NGOs or similar organizations.
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in work plans, budgets, and reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for remote work, including file management systems (e.g. Google Workspace) and communication tools.
Working hours and location
- 20 hours per week, able to work a flexible schedule, e.g. during evening, weekends and public holiday, subject to the scheduling of activities and needs of organizations.
- This position is to work remotely based in the Global South.
- The candidate is expected to possess the necessary equipment, tools, devices, or resources to perform the job’s duties.Â
Reporting Structure:
- The Project Support Assistant works closely with the Project Support Officer and reports to the Project Manager.
