ILO Interregional Consultation on Labour Migration and Mobility from Asia/Africa to the Middle East on October 4-5. IDWF participated at the consultation in Beirut, Lebanon focusing on fair recruitment, decent work, addressing irregularity and governance of labour migration.
Elizabeth Tang, IDWF General Secretary and Marie-José Tayah, IDWF Regional Coordinator, have both represented IDWF in the interregional tripartite meeting on decent work and mobility in the Asia/Africa to Middle East corridors.
Elizabeth Tang spoke on how migrant domestic workers attempted to overcome the challenges of organizing increasing number of nationalities of domestic workers in many places.
