This country is working towards the ratification of the International Labour Organisation’s convention that addresses domestic workers.
That is the word from the Labour and Social Security Minister Dr. Esther Byer Suckoo, as she addressed the House of Assembly yesterday morning on the Employment Rights Bill.
The Minister told her fellow Members of Parliament that her ministry has started a process with UN Women to look at the legislation carefully, to ensure that that convention can be ratified to secure the rights of domestic workers in this country.
