ARGENTINA -

From the 3 to the 7 of April a campaign for the recording of domestic work will be carried out in the Jujuy capital, as in the rest of the country, one of the activities with greater incidence in the black labor market of the province. It will be operative for the awareness and information for both the employers and the employees. The announcement was realized by the delegate of the Ministry of Work in Jujuy, Carlos Guarini, in company of the regional delegate, José Hugo Ceriani.

The operational base will settle in the supermarket Comodín, from 9 to 13 and from 16 to 20. There, the attention to the public will be in charge of personnel of the Regional Delegation of the labor portfolio, who will offer an ample information on the existing benefits for the domestic employers and employees. Although a concrete number of the amount of clandestine workers does not exist within the domestic sector, this campaign will help to have in hand a statistic that comes near to the reality.

“We have a great confidence in this operation. We expect that people approach the place chosen for this campaign and that it removes all kind of doubts”, Guarini emphasized in a press conference. The official explained that all the information that is obtained will be transferred to the Jujuy Delegation of the national organism.

Ceriani explained that the registering of a domestic worker brings mutual benefits for the employer and the employee. For first, one of the main benefits for the employer is that he will be able to deduce wages and expenses from his taxes up to an amount of $ 12,170 annually, whereas for the second, the advantage to be registered implies for the employee to count on social service and contributions for his future retirement.

The official stressed that the campaign will take place in the entire country and that it responds to a policy of the central Government. For the inscription, the worker needs his Unique Code of Labor Identification (CUIL), and in the case of being foreign, a provisory CUIL of the National Administration for Social Security (ANSeS).
