ARGENTINA -

This year, Argentina continues the second year of tripartite discussions on wages and key issues on domestic work.

With these discussions they were able to achieve a subsidy of 50 percent discount on transportation and a discount on gas and water services for the sector.

Now domestic workers are prepared to begin discussions on the wage increase. Together with the ILO, the Unión Personal Auxiliar de Casas Particulares (UPACP) is carrying out training for migrant domestic workers.

This work involves the use of drawings to explain the steps, requirements and places to carry out social and labor procedures. In this way the protection and the rights of migrant domestic workers under the law 26844 are ensured.
