Objectives

  • Improve working right of migrant domestic caretakers in Taiwan.
  • Organize a network of migrant domestic caretakers to help each other.
  • Empowerment of migrant domestic workers to fight and speak as subject in Taiwan society.

 

History

February 21, 2016, Registered to Taoyuan city government, as 1st union organized by migrant domestic caretakers in Taiwan.
November 24, 2019, election of 2nd session of directors and supervisors. And pass the resolution of join IDWF.

Programs

  • Campaign on right of day offs, freedom of transferring, labor standard act and C189.
  • Case rescuing: overwork, illegal work, sick/pregnant worker, sexual harassment, rape, human trafficking, etc.
  • Direct Hiring Program: employment service for breaking the exploitation of broker system.
  • Labor Education: right enlightenment, case discussion, empower workshop, political education.
  • Sunday House: a shared place where workers can rest when they win 24 hours rest right.
