The latest nationwide survey with employers of domestic workers in Lebanon (2015) revealed that many employers have inaccurate and incorrect knowledge about the regulations governing their work relationship, and this also influences their behavior with the worker.

Did you know? 94% of employers in Lebanon withhold the domestic worker's passport, and only 24% allow her to leave the house on her day off.

The data is taken from the latest national study which reveals new figures related to the employers' knowledge about the regulations governing their work relationship with domestic workers, as well as their practices and perceptions. The data in this animated video is taken from a national study conducted by the American University of Beirut, in collaboration with KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation, and Anti-Slavery International, with the support of the International Labor Organization.
