Details

This study describes the HKCTU's 20 years of experience in training domestic workers (or helpers in the Hong Kong context), helping them find jobs and safeguarding their labor rights. It serves as a practical guide on how the government, unions and training centers can collaborate to boost employment in domestic work while ensuring adequate working conditions and quality of service.

This report is based on reviews of training materials, placement reports, government statistics, union documents, and interviews and focus group discussions with personnel, domestic workers, employers and trainers.
